Baja Bug NSW Rego

I am lining up to get a Baja Bug. I'm not sure if the current owner has any records of previous NSW rego.
How hard is this going to be to get a blue slip? In terms of being a baja - I've taken other vehicles for a blue slip before.
I am concerned that the modifications might cause a lot more trouble than it is worth.
Does anyone have any recent experience or advice on this one?

I felt the same that it will probably too much trouble and so waited till I could get a NSW rego'ed baja. Know this won't elp you very much but it did avoid any problems.
Good luck with it.

hi guys just recently got a bluey for my Baja
allot depends on the mechanic whom inspects it.

1 FRONT AND REAR BAR WORK IS A MUST
2 COVERED PULLEYS AND BELTS
3 STANDARD MOTORS AND SEATS ANY MODS HERE REQUIRE AN ENGINEERS CERT
4 SOME WILL REQUIRE A FULLY CAGED EXHAUST SOME WONT AS I ARGUED THAT THEY STILL MAKE MOTOR CYCLES WITH EXPOSED EASILY TOUCHABLE EXHAUSTS HE LET IT PAST.
now as long as everything else is roadworthy you should not have a problem

That's what I expected to hear.
If I buy this one I am looking at I will drop the Twin Cannons for standard heater boxes and exhaust.

I guess I will need to drop the Holley carb too?
