early guards to late beetle

will early guards, pre 67, fit onto a 72 super bug with mcpherson struts?
I like the earlier look with the later mechanicals.

Cheers

Nope - not without a helluvalot of modification work.

The front guards on strut cars (Super's and L's) are a completely different shape to beam bugs, tho rear guards will basically fit straight up.

Maybe a set of Aero guard's instead ???
