FOR SALE
1965 volkswagen beetle
convertible 1600
complete running beetle with plenty of spares in excellent condition.
with no rust in floor pans or under battery, 1 rust hole in front wheel well and a little rust in windshield frame(see photos)
we bought the bug a little over 4years ago from a friend. it was and in full working condition then and had just run out of rego it was the previous
owners daily driver.
we got it home and started work on it straight away, we removed all the fenders, doors, boot lid, glass, canopy, seats, carpet, etc we basically
complete gutted it..
and were about to start sanding it for a new paint job that we were going to do ourselves. but didnt have funds for a air compressor or paint, so the
project got put on hold.
and that was 4years ago.. its been in that condition ever since..
so now its time to get rid of it..
and make room in the shed for a new project.
engine is in excellent condition, i made a note of starting it every 3 to 6 months.. and i was always surprised how it just jumped into life first go
every time and would idle like it was driven daily.. no joke.
it is basically ready for you to do a small restoration ei: sand and paint and put back together.. all the parts are there.
or for a real enthusiast a ground up resto half the work is already done.
has a QLD modification plate for the roof conversion done on 30/04/99 by a previous owner.
black canopy is in really good condition.
there is heaps of spares including a 2nd engine(not sure of condition)
2 naked doors with a little rust.
i think there are 3 bonnets.
2 chrome bumpers.
and a few box's of random door handles, light fittings, wipers, and lots of other SPARE bits and pieces.
