a bit about the bug. the body was taken off the pan. the
pan was stripped and painted then assembled with a 2
inch narrowed beam with disc brakes. and a close ratio
gearbox. the body was attended too next, with all rust
removed and good german metal put back in. i got rid of
the old bonnet and boot seal and fitted the mexican
style seals. smoothed chrome from the dash and made
my own gauge panel out of aluminium. then got rid of
roof lining clips and smoothed it off. car was prepped and
painted and then assembled. it was done in a 8 month
period. lots of hours after work and weekends. but im
glad its finished and now i can enjoy it. it is running a
1600tp at the moment until i finish the 2332cc engine to
go in. more pics soon.

Hey dude, awesome bug.
Curious, what state are you in? I'm about to buy my first beetle and love them run with no bumpers. I am in NSW and wondering if i'll get defected
for having no bumpers.
No i'm not repainting it.

Love the car!
i'm in the process of fixing up my 66 in gloss white as well.
Not going to look as good as yours, (I'm going for that restored by an amateur on a shoe string budget look) but it is good to see an example of some
quality work to shoot for.
Congrats on the wedding as well!

thanks heaps guys.
benjicon- im in melb. the t bars are illegal but i like them to much to worry about a defect.
t_tuffnut, i built this on a budget too i built it with the help of a couple of mates in my single car garage, body
work was also done at home then hi fill then i took it to a
painter to get it painted in 2pac. saved me alot of money
doing it that way. i think buying alcohol for mates was
more expensive. lol.
phoenix_dr- for the wedding i had 16inch fuchs and it was
low. a bit too low. i have a 2 inch beam with adjusters
and adjustable spring plates on the rear.

dude awesome car, but you need to either lower the front more or jack the ass end up a bit so it has a bit of rake rather then taking off.

Very nice car - gotta love a clean cal-looker. Have you gone back to 15inch fuchs? Looks better I think. What tyre combo are you using? Can we have
some more details on the 2332?
