what year

Gday, the number stamped on the hump, under where the rear seat is reads 3713226.
Does this mean that it is a 1952 made in June?
cheers

Maybe June 1961...

chassis numbers 3192507 to 4010994 made between 1st aug 1960 and 31st july 1961

numbers have nothing to do with dates..

cheers

all manual beetle boxes are 4 speed from the factory, the only exception to this are the semi auto boxes (electronic clutch) and the ones that have been modified to be a 5 speed by the use of an aftermarket kit.
