its funny how quickly people change their minds.

a few months ago when i first started posting on these forums, a few of you may remember that i had a big gripe about my nosey landlady (that steals from my vege garden) who whinged about my beetle being too loud when i drove home after an evenings working, and told me not to park it in my garage as she couldnt stand the 5 minutes of beetle noise this would entail. so i have been considerate and have been rolling my car down the driveway with the engine off and parking it on the lawn. i thought this was fair seeing i get home around midnight.

well, yesterday she whinged at me for parking my car on the lawn and how its making track marks on the lawn past the driveway. Shes told me to park it in my garage!!!

Well, im going to be parking it in my garage EVERY NIGHT from now on. ;););)

lets see how long this lasts till she changes her mind and tells me to park it on the lawn again... hehehehe:D

YOu go starbuggy!

And just to be on the safe side I would check out your right to park your car in the garage that you rent. As long as your car is within noise regulations there shouldn't be a problem, even if she IS your landlady and you get home at the same time as the cows!

... and the wheel rolls on.

More than a few veteran members here could attest to the fun and games my Strata title committee used to me. It's a bit sad now as we don't have as much to winge about when we have guests over. Made great conversation.

"Don't park here, can't have this, you breaking subsection 142 of section C..."

Anyhow thats all passed away with us moving to the interior of the red plains but there is still a renters karma following us.

We had our inspection the other day and the inspector wrote us a letter which couldn't find any problem with how we are keeping the house but,..

"I have note how you have vehicles parked on the lawn at the front of the house and would inform you that a suitable driveway is provided for such a purpose."

Well we wrote back...

...this request now puts us in a difficult position as parking either vehicle on the driveway will not only stain the driveway with oildrip (preventing us from keeping the bond) but put our 23k Subaru Forester at risk of theft as this would then require parking on the street. Each of our vehicles use the second kerb enterance to our property and neither causes dammage to the lawn area out front. If anything the lawn is far healthier, greener and well trimmed to the dust and prickle patch that we first tennanted."

I doubt this will make friends with them but I enjoy the angst I think. The Ford - the worst offender for oil drip is for sale, of course the volswagen only drips oil when hot but still that is under repair this week anyhow. We did have drip trays but they were too small and the kids kept walking the oily sand into the house.

I have been real lucky where I am now.

The back yard can hold about 12 cars, and if you park right, you can get three of them out at any time without disturbing others.

I have a retired mechanic guy that works on cars in his driveway 7 days a week on one side, a panel beater on the other, all of the people from Fast and Furious accross the street, and some asian people out the back that have only come out of their house about 3 times in the last two years. :thumb

No complaints from her yet, though she is now trying to get me to get a free haircut voucher from my hairdresser, because she doesnt want to pay to get her hair cut with him.

she owns 3 rental properties, i think she can afford $60. stupid old bag!

Now considering looking for a house to move into as my partner is considering buying a beetle or kombi, and i think that would give my landlady an embolism. hehehe!!:D:D:D

I'm about to build a drag strip out the front of the neighbour's window, can't wait.

serves the bastard right for writing nasty letters to council.

we subdivided our block into 2 2.5 acre blocks and need to put a 200m easement to the rear, which is where we will build our new house.

our lovely neighbour used everything we spoke to him about, future plans etc in 4 years of living next to him in his letter of objection against the subdivision. Even rubbishing our strawbale house. Other neighbours complained but his was personal.

so f...........k him, we don't speak anymore
