[FS - VIC] 1974 Fastback

It's me again, my last post was removed because I forgot to include contact phone No. ( which is 0400 163 962 ). Ring me weekdays, only after 6:00 p.m., or weekends.

My white 1974 manual TLE fastback is here up for sale, and is currently garaged in Geelong. I bought it over a year ago, as a hobby car to tinker with. It has been converted to carbies, somewhere back in its history.

When I bought it, I drove it onto the trailer, then into the garage. Since then I've started it, and driven it onto the front lawn a only a few times, to get a better view of the job on hand (to admire it). Today I started it again, and put it in the driveway ( no problem ), and let it idle for a while.

After a recent, and major cleanout of my garage, I sadly realised, that it is just sitting there, and taking up space. Family responsibilities, just don't allow me time for it. What it deserves is someone, who's got the time to put this lovely classic coupe, back on the road. Two cars in the family is already enough.

The car is in fairly good condition. It is original and complete.

I've been trying to find time, to finish repair of a big dent in the passenger door, and some minor surface rust in some usual areas, that I'd started. Overall the whole car is dry, mostly just needing a tidy. The interior is really nice.

Bad Things - Front left parking light needs looking at. A fuel hose needs replacing (replaced most of the others). It will need another battery (as this one is almost gone). It will need door-window rubbers replaced.

I can't imagine it would need too much more to get it on the road.

I'm asking only $2,000 for a quick sale.

I here include some pics that I took today, and I am happy to answer any questions, that I'm able to.

[FS - VIC] White 1974 TLE Fastback

G'day All;

I here include requested pics of interior. I was happy to let her "putt" away on the front lawn, while I took them. The overcast weather, allowed much better lighting, for clearer photos. When I saw these pics, realised the carpet could have done with a vacum.

Re: rust. There's nothing major to speak of. The dent in the passenger door was the only major thing. I'll include some pics of the surface rust areas, that I've endeavoured to repair. Clearly, I'm no panel beater, but the job was getting there. The minor areas I speak of are in the lower right corner of the front windscreen, and up high on the rear arches. The car overall is pretty dry.

I saw Major's discussion, hereabouts, that you had a deal fall through, this last weekend . . . and yes, it's O.K. to pass my details on to anyone interested (can't remember in which forum I saw that !).

[FS - VIC] 1974 fastback

Had a couple of calls so far, but it's still early days. Yep, it's still up for grabs.

I'll give it a few weeks, 'cause It'd be nice to go to a dubber, who'll get it on the road quickly. You just don't ever see them on the roads, anymore. They must be getting rare as hens' teeth.

If there's no buyers after that, I'll prob get back to cleaning it up, better, over time, now that I've got my garage space back, and then try get more for the old coupe, later.

Here's a pic of the 1600cc, you asked for.
