2010 NSWHCC Wrap Up
With the aussie titles on this weekend in S.A. It clashs with the final round of the championship being held at Newcastle.
Therefore no points will be awarded to the winners of each class this weekend.
So may i be the first to send a big congrats to Heath Campbell for winning this years Improved Production 1601-2000cc class. (the beetle class as so
many other fellew racers call it).Heath was the man to beat all year in his orange beetle.
So dominate were the Beetles in there class that the first 4 places in the Championship Series were taken by Beetles.
I had a fantastic time racing all year with Heath , Christine, and Glen Torrens with many highlights and quiet a few "mate whats in your car a
Porsche engine?"
After talking to a few people 2011 could be the biggest year yet with a few racers aiming to compete in the 2011 series in there new cars.
Personally 2010 was a great year for me after a long lay of from competative racing ( 6 years) My car performed faultlessly with only a loose
accelerator pedal pin my only time all year i actually had to open the tool box at the track and fix the car.
The motor was strong and fast with no oil leaks all year and only routine maintenance was required(nice one Larry)
As for next year, well, the motor is out with Larry and myself keen to develop the package we have for more power.
Handling wise i was very happy with the car and look forward to tweaking tyre pressures and shock settings after learning a few things along the way
this year.
So again congrats to Heath, well done!.
Cheers Col

Wrapper
Nice wrap-up Col.
Well done this year. Black beauty was a beauty then.
You did well to set up your car so successfully with so few miles on it. You mast have the knack, me thinks.
Just tell Larry not to put a stroker in it.
