Time for a sea change !!
Price : turn key : $ 25,000 cheap , last rebuild over$10,000 spent . Car will be ready to race .
Also may sell less Engine and Nitrous system .
Price , 12.500

Dak-A-Tak 1964 drag bug
Runs low 11's all day
Car run super straight and has new Tech , Expiry 30/Sep/2016
Complete car ready to race plus safety gear if it fits you ( twin layer suit , helmet , gloves, boots , neck brace)

Car weight : full tank of fuel 1270lb or 577kls with out driver.May be a bit heavier now with 10lb Nitous bottle and New battery .
Engine : 2332cc ( 170hp plus nitrous hp ?) Nitrous is new , still in sorting stage .Any where from 50 to 200hp . Ran 70 shot at Warwick last year , best 6.89 et at 99mph , made Top 12 . Will go much faster on this combo . Then you can add more Nitrous or do your own thing with new combo .

Body ,1964 with oval rear window .
Fib glass : nose cone , doors , rear guards .
Poly windows , alloy rear engine cover .

Pan : Modified pans , front frame head lifted 3inch plus beam adjusters , rear torsion housing lifted 4inch , 1inch motor motor mount too .
Cage work : old bars steel tube and new bars chromemoly , new head plate welded in .
Suspension : swingaxle rear , rino case , albins gears , alloy spool
, gas rear shocks , sway-a-way axles . Geers lite weight brakes (disc) ,
Front jt alloy linkpin 4inch narrow , new steering box , koni gasajust shocks . No front brakes ( spindle mount wheels )

Motor : N/a 2332cc with nitrous
Scat case (drysump) , Scat flange crank 84 , corrillo steel rods , Performance tech heads (44mm intake by 38mm exhaust)
Autcraft Pro rockers 1.4s , cima / mahle pistons and barrels , 14:1 comp , full Msd ingnition , 48ida's , fk 89 cam .
Car will come with alot of spares too . (clutches , rockers , ect)

Cars chassis story was in rare volkswagen magazine australia No 1 book , now vwma
I have owned and raced this car for over 20years , just time has come to watch vw drag racing from pits . My life has changed , moving on to new things .
Car can come with trailer for a extra $ 12,000 .

Thanks for text messages from some friends , but all is good .
I'm burnt out , is main reason , time to have a car for Sunday drives with my wife .

Fastest car has run on 1/8 is 7.268 et 94mph ( most runs mid 7's)
Runs mid 1.50's sixty foots ( with Rods motor 1.499 sixty foot) , extra 50hp
11.47 et best 1/4 mile et I think since rebuild but will run faster .( with Rods motor car has run 10.937et at 120.62mph)
At moment cylinders heads are holding performance back , but with small amount of nitrous car would run easy 10s.
Heads are super stronge for nitrous , thats why I have stayed with those performance teck heads .

May swap for another car , or car plus cash .

Hey Pete, wow mate, didn't think I'd see you sell it....but nonetheless I hope you get a quick hassle free sale if thats what you really want :)

If you do end up keeping it, I hope you enjoy a bit of a break and can hit the track again with renewed enthusiasm and energy some day.

It is certainly cheap for the time, parts and hours you have put into the car. All the best

is there anyone out there who is interest in SPONSORING a vw drag car .

Show your product , company flyers , ect at shows and race meetings .
I'm talking for a year or what works out !, maybe , race car fuel , race meeting entry , tow car fuel , new maintance , these are things we could talk about .
