Very interesting Vehicle..
I used to see the ute type matadors when walking to School

I cannot ever remember seeing one like this...

LONG wheelbase.... opening nose....

but it does look much better than the ute/tabletop versions..

Remember that $15,000US = $14,999AU.... lol...

I doubt it will go to $15,000 maybe $12,000 but it all depends on who actually wants it... lol
If Jay Leno wants it.. probably $25,000

once its restored.... the sky is the limit..

they would have to be a very noisy vehicle to drive...
and maybe just as well they have that very low differential..
You wouldn't want to be going too fast.... lol

It might be worth checking with some Tempo experts, but I am pretty sure the VW powered Tempos ended in 1952. After that they used pretty much the same chassis, but with Austin and Heinkel motors. When this happened, the headlights were moved lower, like the Tempo in the auction.....the one with the 1400 badge on the nose. VW powered Tempos had the headlights up high on the nose.
Also I don't think he is correct about the VW brakes on it...."which in turn attach to forged spindles running stock VW drum brakes". Still, it is a rare vehicle.

Actually, is this the same vehicle before it was shipped to the USA? Looks like someone added the split windscreen.....

mmmm same rig just before the sign writing was added

Wondering if it's just had a later nose piece fitted, would make sense as its the later model one and paint doesnt match
anyway it's listed as a 50 model on the other site

Yes, I suppose that is possible about the nose. But why put in a fake rib to make it look like a split screen?
To anyone seriously interested in it, it would pay to do some research on it. The chassis number should confirm if it is a VW or later model.

what a shitbox its bad enough people pay silly money for split window Kombis and they're awful to drive but these things are worse and they had universal joints driving the front wheel that broke every other day when they were new
today you cant just run down to the Tempo shop and buy new ones
here's a better choice
