Front Wheel Bearing Stuck

I have a historic formula vee that has 1200 front suspension, Iwas trying to take the front brake drum off and the rear needle roller/cage bearing has come out of the drum and is stuck on the shaft i have cut away the cage but the inner race has stayed on the drum...stuck! I was wondering if there are any other ways than attacking it with an angle grinder to remove it and how to prevent this from happening in future?

hammer and a chisel works for me, Just knock the bearing off and not the bit that the seal runs on.

If a hammer and chisel doesn't work try heating the inner race with an oxy until it starts to glow red.
Then a few belts with a chisel sorts it out.
It's usually a bit of moisture that seeps in and the two surfaces corrode together.
Lightly grease the stub axle before replacing the bearing. In extreme conditions use neversieze instead.

If you don't have an oxy set, you can run a bead of electric weld and this also heats it up and then hit it with the chisel.

A weld will always shrink, so welding on the inside of a stuck bearing cup,say in a disc rotor, will reduce it's diameter and make it easier to remove.
I've never tried welding on the outside of a race, but if I did my fear would be that if it did not let go straightaway and cooled down, it would become more stuck.
