Hot Rod
It might be a stupid question, what year beetle is good to turn into a hot rod? (ie, Before or after super beetle) I want to take the body off and mod
it. Is there anywhere that can give my advice on this?

be very careful on this one that what you do doesnt turn it into an icv (individual crafted vehicle) as these have to meet all the current adrs. other
than that it might be an idea to have a chat to an engineer before starting to cut up or mod the body.
as for what year id go anything apart from a super as they have a front end thats separate to the pan

What Barl's said. A super has MacPherson struts on the front and they are not what you want for a rod.
