Building a 2007cc motor
Hi I want some info about some fittment.
I have a 1967 1300 type 1 motor.
I was wondering what I can re-use on my 2007cc engine build, e.g tin doghouse fan?
Or do I have to start from scratch.

I already have a AS21 case, so was wondering if I could use the tin, fan, doghouse, or is the 1600 tin, doghouse and fan different/bigger.

I'd go with as much of the old German tinware as possible. All German doghouse housings are the same afaik. Depends on how wide your engine ends up
as to how much will work.

Ok that's good I thought there were bigger fans for the later 1600tp motors, compared to my current 1300.
Thanks for that
I 'am not going crazy with the motor.
Will re use the rocker covers etc as well.

you said doghouse, I am asuming your 1300 has a doghouse fan shroud fitted ??
Rocker covers and clips, and even rocker gear can be used, also some internal hardware.

Do the 1300's run the 32mm cooling fan or the 35mm cooling fan?

I've the 1300 single port, so i'll need the larger fan, will the larger fan fit the 13 single port housing?

If its a single port 1300 then do like barls already suggested and just get a 1600 twin port to build on.
Pretty much nothing from the original 1300 will be of any use.
AS41 are the blocks to use.

Would anyone have the tin and doghouse shroud and fan, they want to get rid of?
