How did you with the 1776?

Have you had it dyno'd? What sort of HP / Torque are you getting?

Did you make any gearbox mod's?

I am planning out my engine at the moment and I would like to know your thoughts, 1 year on.

Cheers,
John

John,

No dyno as yet but love the 1776, no mods to gearbox but so far no issues. Engine has had first service but still running in.

Some thing a learnt, what ever budget you have in your head double it. Don't cut corners on using Chinese replicas pay extra for either original German bearings or use reputable companies.

As for torque it has good low down torque which I what I wanted but nice smooth acceleration as well

Go with a good exhaust, I went with vintage speed it sounds awesome and perfect for a 1776,

If you click on the link in my signature ( my 69 bug) there are more photos and video
