Hi From Canada

I'm new to your web site. I've been into VW since 1975. Drag raced them since 1979. The same car since 1979. My wife and I race 10 to 12 Vw races a year in Ontario Ohio, Penn, and Mich. We travel about 8000 miles a year racing. I will post some picture as soon as I can figure out how..

Wayne

Looking forward to talk to all of you..

welcome to the site, look forward to seeing some photos, the easiest way to post photos is to open a photobucket account which is free and upload photos then post a link here

Hi Wayne,

and another welcome to the site. Like Paul said, would be great to see some photos and I just want to say you are lucky man in that your wife enjoys and partakes in your passion (I should say, joint passion). My wife isn't into cars at all and it makes it a lot harder when I talk about buying parts or similar and she just thinks it's a waist of money. Sounds like you have most blokes dream life

Cheers, Kev.

I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!

Hi.

If it wasn't for my wife we would not be in racing anymore. She does a lot of the running around to get thing ready to go, You know how there in not enough time in a day.

My wife Angela is my crew chief, helps me built our motors help me with the hole build of our car. At the track she does all the book work, gets me to the line and comes to get me after the run. I will get some pictures of the car and the track time most pictures will show both of us there.

We drag race and have been for 15 years this time around, we had time off when we had to put a lot of time into work. Angela is upper mang. in the banking bussiness and I was on the road alot drive all over North America.

Our car is a clone 57 oval, (some of it is a 68) Motor is 86 by 94 Mech Fi on alky. We run a type 2 Auto.
