Thanks for the post 555bug but I really want either a 3 or 5 rib as I dont have the legs for off road with a 2L box.

Gidday Klaus thanks but can you tell me it's condition. Certainly interested if condition is good> I can't afford a rebuild.
Thanks

Sold Klaus:cool:

Just not sure when I will be able to get down and pick up at the moment. Probably be in 2-3 weeks.
I still don't have car back on road :fakesniff: but am getting close. Though still waiting on brakes.

how are you hooking it up ? using bug axles or changing to kombi cv pattern on the stubs? or transplanting a complete bay torsion housing into the baja?

Gotta convert the pan to irs and am gonna use T2 CVs and then if they fit T2 stubs with upgraded disc brakes so I can change the bias to the rear more. Also gotta make up a mount so the box mounts into the frame horns. I just hope I know what I'm doing!

Thanks for the offer PAZZAN but have told Klaus I will take his, but will keep it in mind if it doesn't work out.

I need the strength as currently running 31s on rear and already chewed out 4th on 1 box. Do a bit of off roading whenever I get the chance.

So do I take a 3 or 5 rib. Prefer the 5 rib for the road but 3 rib for off road?

If all else fails have a 1600 / 3 rib Kombi IRS 'box - hasn't been run since rebuild.

Thanks manxed but a bit far to drive up and pick up.
Actually my mechanic reckons it is cheaper for me to build up a bug box for offroad than to convert a kombi box to fit a type 1.
