that is a front Mudguard in Australian... lol
and those badges weren't really standard fitment in Australia as was the RED/clear parking lamp ...
were European things mostly...
but the type 3 badges do come up on ebay often ...
and many VW shops that keep used bits would have them..

Lee, the badges were standard fitment for late type 3's from 1972 to 1973.
the side markers were used in Australia from 1969 to about 1972

OK on the badges
but You don't see many late type 3's with the side marker lights..??
and I remember the Fastbacks with TS badges instead of the marker lights ??

PS: I'm no expert on type 3s .. only ever owned a 71 variant
many years ago... they are much more advanced than beetles..
