Wanted Convertible Beetle SA

After convertible beetle in SA interested to hear about anything as long as it can be registered in SA as a tourer.
Would prefer something run down so I can do repairs myself as it will be run about form farm to shack.

Will look at one that has been modified with roof chopped off and registered in SA but also interested in factory convertible but depends on the cost.

Thanks

Just consier what quality of cut has ben done. Does it look any good at the important parts, windscreen, doors, rear: and has it been strengthened since?

chop a roof of a good beetle! sacrilege! Must admit though I did a few back in the late 80's, still saying hail marries for that crime against the VW gods.....
If you are looking for one, make sure you ask how it was done. Strengthened under floor pan, metal welded into where the cuts were made. Roll bar is correctly mounted to body with gussets welded at the base to body.

In saying that I have a 72 millionth edition super bug for sale with a new motor 1641 I just reconditioned. Twin carbies, new 75amp chrome alternator, new stainless steel GT exhaust, new alloy pulley, new clutch kit, new alloy pushrod tubes. Painted tin ware and dog house, Hot wire 14'' alloys mags, have new frt strut inserts to go in, New frt bumper, new empi t'shifter, new accelerator cable, seat need a re trim but can get the frt and back TMI kit for $350 (black) Great starter for the be heading. Can load some pics to your pm if you want. about $4000. worth a look.
call 0448866248 or pm me.
regards Craig

There is one posted on adelaide.gumtree.com.au. Ad ID 284848587. It shows as located in Campbeltown NSW but as the ad is posted on Adelaide gumtree and the VW has SA plates i am assuming Campbeltown Adelaide.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Jesse.
