SOLD SOLD SOLD !!! 1978 'BUSNUT' Kombi Automatic REDUCED TO $22,500 !!
I bought this bus over 3yrs ago but now with an impending career change, amongst other priorities to fund, our family has decided to sell our beloved
'Bluey'.
Some of you may have seen him at the VW Nationals, Run to the Sun (QLD), Old Bar (Taree), Valla, amongst other VW Events. He is real head turner !! It
even won a prize at the 2006 VW Nationals in the modified Kombi class.
We've travelled to QLD (twice), Western NSW and he has never missed a beat. An absolute blast to drive.
Okay so what do you get for your money you may be asking !!! Well here goes:
Automatic (fully reconditioned a few years back)
2.2litre 'twin carb' VW engine which has only done just over 20,000kms (built and regularly serviced by Mike @ CBB)

Rear Back Door Lock - mechanism gets stuck every so often
Auto transmission - 'Drive' takes a few minutes to engage. Happens when car is parked overnight (or stationery for 8hrs or so). The gearbox was
fully reconditioing about 3yrs ago before I bought it.
At least 4 rust spots on roof which I had fixed about one year by what I thought was a professional spraypainter (who happens to no longer be in
business !!)
Another rust spot around left had side mirror and some bubbling appearing on drivers side door
Rear speaker disconnected as was shorting out one of the fuses
Some of the door rubbers are a little worn out
Note: personalised 'BUSNUT' number plates are not included in the sale
