Early Veedubs everywhere!

Spent the weekend in Sydney visiting my kids at boarding school,
couldn't believe it in around a four hour period saw three split window
Kombis and a sixties Beetle. Two of the Kombis and the Beetle within
around ten minutes.

Super low and straight panel van with safaris and stock wheels.

This one was parked within walking distance of the one above.
Lots of chrome, otherwise pretty stock, super straight and nice plate!

From my limited knowledge looks like a mid to late 60s Beetle.
Oh and a Ratty sign as well.

All the above pic's were taken just before midday on Friday 20/5/11
Harbord Rd northern beaches Sydney, NSW. I also saw a Splitty later
on the same day heading north on the Pacific H'way green bottom
white top, didn't manage to get a pic. Hey I thought split window
Kombis were rare three in around four hours!

There is (or was) a VW garage just up the ramp from that VW sign on Harbord Rd.
I live in the area and there is often a few nice VWs going through Manly and the Northern Beaches.
