73 ragtop??
Well summer is on the way and my kombi has only two opening windows.... i know the simple/smart thing to do would be to replace the side window but i
have always wanted a ragtop.... inspired by the a couple of previous posts about installing ragtops to splitty campers i was wondering is it possible
to fit one to a hard top baywindow??? Does anyone know of a place that fits ragtops??? Is "paris beetles" the best place to get them from?or
is there a local alternative??? are the ragtops very good at keeping the water out???..... and does our harsh sun fade vinal quickly???....
thanks

Rag Top
Some more info-Contacted the bloke in England from Paris Beetle's and his kit uses press studs down each side,on the outside-so each time you
open or close you have to get out of the car to work the press studs. There is also a mob in USA doing a Rag Top for Beetles and Vans, which they claim
is a direct copy of the original.I promised myself last year that when the Aussie doller hit 60 US cents I would buy one.At about that time I found
quite by accident a question about the quality of these sunroofs on a Yankee forum. From memory there was about 40 responses to the question with
negative feedback and only one positive. The main problem was with them flying open on the highway and doing allsorts of damage to the cars-mainly
wrecking big dollar paint jobs.Consequently I gave up the idea. They worked out to just under $700AU landed at your doorstep, with no headliner.
