WANTED - 61 Beetle Parts (QLD)

Hey guys,

I have recently purchased a 61 1/2 beetle, it needs a fair bit of work done to it and i need some help getting some parts. ill make a build thread later for you guys to look at. i am located in Ipswich QLD.

I am after:
1. the panel behind the engine has been butchered off at some stage and is bent all out of shape, the job would turn out nicer if i could start with something not as bent!

2. i have been told that the doors are not original, so i think it would look better with the originals.

3. the reflectors in the headlights no longer do their job, some that actually reflect would work a lot better.

4. the panel at the back of the boot (luggage area) is missing, it would look heaps neater if it had one.

5. anyone got some wide 15 inch wheels

if anyone has any of these parts, and you don't want them (or need them) it would help me a great deal. i will consider these items in any condition. your help will be GREATLY appreciated!

also is there a website that sells roof lining and stuff like that? mines got crappy carpet glued up there with glue stains and stuff. by the way, how much of the interior is meant to be vinyl/carpet? (i.e. around back window, etc.)

thank you very much for your help!
Colin

I have some doors already stripped for repair & painting. 1 has some rust, but its repairable. Also have a rear cut from a 64. Needs a bit of TLC, but you can have the lot for $70.00 if you want it.

Do you have the correct period tail lights, 50/50 as they are known. Also, your front guard indicators appear to be wrong, to large/wide.

With that said, you may not be wanting it totally period correct and I don't mean to sound as if I am picking sorry.

hey guys, you have been a great help to me so far and have all the parts i NEED, now it's just the parts i want :)

i would love the panel that hides the wiring behind the dash in the luggage area
a pair 15x 7 or there-a-bouts wide five rims (for the rear, narrower ones for the front are fine)

and any early beetle parts that you don't want! (it may become useful to me!)

thanks again for all your help guys
Colin

Edit: the closer to Ipswich the better, or i don't mind paying postage!
