Compufire question
Hi Guys
I recently installed the complete compufire system coils cap etc. One of the reasons to go this way was that I read somewhere that is is water
proof/resistant. I was having ignition issues and thought this would be great on the Manx.
Once the condensor and points are removed how or what is used to seal the cut out where the condensor wires through the dizzy ? Do i hack the wires
off the plastic rectangle and refit ?
Cheers

Hi
with the pertronix there is a seal made from a long grommet and a short grommet
You push the long grommet thru the hole then place the other grommet over the long grommet to seal it...
If You are having water issues put some silastic on it to seal it..
You can also spray a water displacement spray over the top of the cap... like WD40 CRC - etc..
cheers
LEE
with a clean surface to work on... silastic will seal anything...
apart from petrol... even use it on exhausts.... Lee

Thanks Lee
Good idea . Are these standard round gromets or square shaped ? I will call into clarke rubbuer and see if they have something suitable.
I am suprised the kit didnt contain anything to seal it up. I havent had the manx on the road to have a problem with water but I thought if im going
to replace it why not .
Any other ideas ???
