FS QLD 1994 VR6 GOLF $2000 minus gearbox

It is with some regret that I am selling my golf, I have had it for a year and until recently it has been bomb proof, the gearbox, which is an auto and not the best gearbox in the first place has given up and I am not in a position to have it reconditioned. The engine is still strong and will have a service before it is sold. The gearbox can be repaired but frankly, I would rather put my money into an air-cooled vw. The condition of the golf can be described as used but clean and serviceable (gearbox excluded). The engine has high kilometers 282363 to be precise but is regularly serviced and the paint is a little flat and has chips and the odd dent, the rear bumper has a small scuff and will need correcting four BBS alloys in good condition with no huge gouge marks or scrapes, currently flat black with 80% 195/60/15 Federal treadlies, the price reflects condition I think $3000 with 6mnths rego is reasonable. I will do my best to put photos up over the next two days and answer any questions, an inspection is recommended and welcome, viewing by appointment and that can be done by phoning 0457467885 or pm me. The golf is currently at southport on gold coast but come Monday it will be at helensvale 4212 .thanks for looking, if I have forgotten anything vital, I will add it over the weekend. Cheers, Adam

Will give a few details and update with photos soon. Dusty mauve in colour( I have been calling it purple) 5 door hatch, auto, dark cloth interior in good Nick, seats and bolsters firm and tear free. Windows have no tint and two regulators are disconnected. Dash is in very good condition with no holes or cracks, exhaust is modified but I have complete original system, there is a pod filter on at present but have original air box and filter in very good condition. The engine bay is clean and tidy with new plugs and leads(3mnths ago) car is serviced regularly by vw tech and i should stress that car was purchased not having full knowledge of autos history, the malfunction was a surprise to us both. The stereo is not original, simple cd with original speakers, shift lever and handbrake lever have some wear and would need replacing, to clarify an important point; there is no money owing on this car, it is not a repairable write-off, nor are there any outstanding infringements, a revs check is welcomed, as is an independent inspection. More details later

On hold at the moment, gearbox out for repair, more on this later, will still be selling just not yet, price will not change much, depending on bill from gearbox repair.

The gearbox in this car is well and truly deceased and I am selling this with engine out, minus gearbox for $2000 come and get it. I apologize for lack of photos thus far, I will take some this weekend but honestly... I have to say goodbye, my loss, your gain? Please consider, until pics are up I could send a few via phone, just give me a PM or call 0457467885 and I will answer any answers you may have. Thanks for interest and patience. Almost forgot, the engine is currently out and I can have the cam chain and head gasket done for extra on top of the $2000 asking price or sell as is, the engine bey is a bit dirty but this can be cleaned prior to sale, which I am hoping will be a quick and painless one for all involved, I am trying to make this as transparent as possible, all the bad points have been described to best of my ability but as I mentioned in previous post, inspection is advised and welcomed, thanks again people.

The gearbox was removed and sent to Springwood VW for repair three weeks ago, currently installing gearbox back into the golf and a full detail will be carried out before I attempt to put photos up, the price will be adjusted accordingly, it will be north of the previously advertised $2000 and sold with rego to November 2011. My apologies for no pics but I have been moving house and mothballing my air-cooled babies for storage. Should be worth the wait though, thanks, Adam
Ross, (Weeds) you have PM.
