Hi

did You fit that red hose to the oval pipe on the tank?
and where did You get the pipe from?

68 beetles had a hose from the filler to the tank
with different sizes at either end....

Isn't it just a hoseclamp? Go to a car parts store and buy one! As far as I know VW never used hose clamps on the fuel filler hoses from the factory so there is no 'proper' clamp, just buy any stainless steel hose clamp that's big enough.

HI Lee

My tank has an oval shaped outlet and a circle shaped neck at the filler. That red hose was purchased at Dunlop many moons ago!

That clamp you see is a factory VW that is oval shaped. I want another original factory clamp to match mine.

I have the original hose, pics attached. See the difference between the 2 ends.
