starting woes fastback

early this morning all out of milk etc
figured hop in the fastback.
to the local supermarket.
turned the key nothing but ignition lights
strange ? usual culprit checked under the carpet
forward of front seat. wire still connected.
went in the house to have a read of the repair manual
maybe a sticking solenoid
:dork::blush:

drafted dads little eager helper my 4 and a half year old son.
turn the key while daddy bashes the starter with a shovel
i instructed him still nothing:mad::crazy:

well let jack up the car check things a bit closer
well the wire on top of the starter had fallen off
joy i have found it son. came the reply what daddy you fixed the fastback? my son said.maybe it didnt want you to hit it with a shovel again:no:
it is going to start now turned the key and fired right up great stuff turned to my son who was looking at me in :love:wonderment oh vhat a feeling on the road again
:tu::tu:
