engine mods

hey all, i have a 1300 6v in my 63, i was thinking about changing out to a 1600 tp for better highway driving (lower revs ) and power etc, but i want to know what mods could i do to my 1300 to get these same effects, with around $1500 to spend? im only novice with engines so go easy :) thanks, ben.

you SURE its a 1300??
Think a 63 should be a 1200??

You could try a set of single port dual carbs and a set of extractors

How will a larger motor lower the revs? wouldn't you need to change the diff / gear box?

Have a look at tyre size, taller profile will lower revs but take longer to get to top speed.
