basically the axle tube needs to move backwards (Towards the back of the car) so the spring plate is free. The spring plate will then drop down.

BE CAREFUL, Spring plates are under SPRING tension via the torsion bars. Who would have thought?

to reinstall you will need to chain your trolly jack to the upper shock tower with the car sitting on stands (If you dont do this the car will just raise instead of compressing the suspension)

and slowly jack the spring plate back up untill you can slide (use a mallet) the axle tube back in place.

Points to note

- You will need to re set Toe for the rear wheels by adjusting the 3 bolts in elongated holes that attach the axle tube to the spring plate.
- Mark the stock setting of the spring plate on the plate and tube with a dremel or scribe so you always have a base position to take it back to.
