New to the Forum

Hi all!

Just thought I'd say hello, new to the forum and new to the wonderful world of Beetle ownership. (Other than my Missus and her new style Beetle)
Just got my first ever restoration project, its a 1968 in need of lots of care and attention!
As I'm new to this I'll be asking loads of questions and hopefully benefitting from the vast amount of knowledge and experience on this site!

:)

I'm in Perth south of the river.

Will post some Pics as soon as I get some sorted.

It's a chop top convertible..........I know that some people frown upon them but it has rego and a re-built engine and I got it for a reeeally good price.
Plus I like the idea of (with lots of hard work) eventually putting something back on the road that would have only have rusted away.

Welcome to the club!

Looks like we both have the same kit on the rear end, say hello to some Australian muscle on the rear fenders ;)

Hi Paulc

Not sure, it is rego'd as a convertible but not got a Engineers Report.
When I get a good look underneath I'll check it out. I'm still a bit green so what should I be looking for?:?:

Not sure I'm keeping the rear fenders yet, my son is trying to persuade me to go down the Volksrod route, I've got the fenders off all round at the mo' and I've got to admit I do quite like the idea!
