I decided on putting gauges in the glove box and the tacho under the dash forward of the gear shift

I think that is a good place for the gauges you have mentioned, you will just have to find another spot in the car now for your handbag

Well when i do need them i can just open the glove box to see them, you do have a point though basically this is just to monitor the engine at
critical times like when blowing away a certain orange beetle
