Shani's convertable repairs

We finally have belle back at home from the accident. The insurance assessors decided to write her off so not wanting to let her go we bought her back. She copped a fair smack in the rear end which damaged the guards, beaver panel, tail and obviously the bumper. What is not yet known is the full damage of the engine and gearbox. First looks seem to show only minor damage but until they are pulled down and inspected we wont know properly. On to the bodywork. A donor 71 superbug has been found and considering the damage to the whole rear end I've decided to cut and replace the whole section instead of trying to patch it up. The fibreglass guards and tail won't be a problem to fix.

What happened is she got hit rather hard by a........... ahem............. person driving possibly too fast and definatly not paying attention. Shani suffered some whiplash and a very sore arm for a few days, Belle suffered lots more *Insert hysterically crying smilie here*
This all happened on the Saturday night before Valla, so she missed out this time.

I am not taking the news all that well, I wanna cry, rant, rave and scream (and have done come to think of it) but there's nothing I can do but wait and let the man do the job. And drive the ford in Klub runs for a while :(

"mmmmm" a carrera/baja/v6turbo convertable. What a great idea. Somehow I think she would notice, maybe next time. Started to pull down the motor today but got stuck at trying to remove flywheel. Need that tool thingy. Also found a crack in the oil pump housing. The gearbox front mounting is mangled, it will need to be replaced. Dont think it can be straightened successfully.

Rustbucket

and easy tool to make is a piece of angle with a couple of holes that match up with 2 in the clutch plate.
Bolt into these with a metre of angle sticking out. This acts as a brace when you apply leverage to the breaker bar
