Ball joint brakes to king pin
I'm in the process of building a buggy on a 1958 king pin pan.
The brakes need a complete rebuild.
I've fitted a 1970 swing axle gearbox, 4 bolt wheels, to the rear and I want the front wheels to be the same.
Can I fit 4 bolt, ball joint drum brakes to the front easily? I realise that some machining may be necessary.
I also have a set of ball joint disc brakes. Can they, with some machining, be fitted to the king pin front end? Of course I'd prefer the disc bakes.

You will need to have the outside bearing bore machined to a larger size, there is a tappered roller available that will then fit the stub axle,
brackets are commercially available to fit the caliper to the link pin stub axle. you will need to fit a dual circut master cylinder and have the
conversion approved, this is quite a common conversion.

Thanks vwo60, That's what I thought I could do. I have the parts, a bracket to support the caliper is readily available and with a little machining
it will be done.
