Early Bumpers on a late Type 3

Hi Guys,

Just tried to fit an early set of bumpers with over riders onto my 73 Squareback, the rear went on no problems, but the front is another matter. The distance between the mounts on the early bumpers is 930mm, and the distance on the late model bumpers is 1015mm. Any suggestions or known fixes??? As far as I know the early set are from a 1965 model.

thanks

Jed

Hi Jed
Just add a piece of flat steel to the bumper brackets so its long enough to bolt to the bumpers and drill the holes..
50mm x 5mm thick should do the trick
