Does anyone else have a bay window with the accessory left foot accelorator mount?


Hi everyone, Im just wondering if anyone else has a bay window with the accessory for a left foot accelorator? Im just interested in finding out more info about them.

I did a couple of Datsuns back in the early eighties for customers with one leg. These days you will need engineers certificates etc and I think it will be a pain in the A unless you only have a left leg.

I believe that the extra pedal wasn't an original VW part.
Maybe someone had only one leg ??
but that would still be fairly dangerous with the steering column between the Brake pedal and accelerator..

OR
seeing We have Left handed people...
maybe there are Left Footed people who would rather use their Left foot on the accelerator ?????

also odd that the brake pedal isn't much larger as on most autos???

what about a left hand operated throttle lever???
or a person with a short Left leg????

The acc cable went to the box first and then the rod to the accel link connector on the cross shaft.
