6v to 12v headlight bulb conversion
Doing a 12v conversion on an early 6v car. Looks like you cant get the 12v bayonet headlight bulbs anymore?? Most seem to be the 3 pin type but that
obviously does not fit the stock 6v bulb fitting. Side light bulb is also located in the standard 6v fitting. What have people done here?

Have sent him an email. Anyone else done any other form of conversion. There must be a load of people who have had to do this as part of a 12v
conversion....

My Son unsoldered the base off a 3 pin late model H4 headlamp bulb
did the same with an original bulb and swapped them over....
and He is not a solderer... lol
You can get 12 volt bulbs for the parking lamps..
common in later beetles...

Or throw in a H4 semi-sealed conversion kit... then just put in standard H4 fitment bulbs.
NARVA made the one I used on my US Spec headlights, but there'd be other brands/options around too I reckon.
