Yes, they are repro. Had to drill in the holes to mount the hinge, but they went in super easy, considering that we had never attempted anything like
that before. Very happy with the outcome on our very first restoration.
PS: Bought the kit from Mike and Boris at Vintage VW in Sydney.
Cheers.

Busy Weekend
This weekend, the bumpers went on, we got the horn to work and readjusted the suspension and brakes - think we have a faulty new dual master cylinder
as the brakes work for a bit and then start fading fast...mmm...Make that a next weekend repair and the last piece of carpet goes in this week...And
then the car is COMPLETED!

Final Pics...
OK, the car is done and these are the last pics of her in the sun today. Thanks for following the build and all the comments. Finally we have
completed our very first restoration. See you on the road.
Many thanks to my Dad, Cameron, Mike and Adam for all their sweat and hard work and the countless people who have all helped with their guidance and
know-how.

Make sure you show these to a vehicle engineer so that you KNOW they'll be signed off as ADR compliant. If you bolt them on and have an accident then
the insurance won't pay out if the accident adjuster spots them

A little bit different from a year ago:

Did you have any issues with rego/engineer with all your modifications?
Especially the BAD brakes?

Before you even buy the brake kit go and see the engineer who will sign off on it. If he don't like the look of the wheel mounting plate then you'll
have just wasted the money.
This I have learnt from wide 5 kits as they view the plate as an adapter and as per ADR these are not allowed.
Just giving you a heads up b4 you order them.
Love the Twisties in silver instead of black tho reckon I'd go a bigger profile to fill the rear a bit more

From what i can see... they look FANTASTIC! I was thinking of going ProCar and ended up going with 365's. More work restoring em but i love that
chrome hinge on the old seats.
Got any interior photos?

Today the Bug was sold and is heading to Melbourne at the moment.
Thanks to everyone who followed the build across the years. So if you're in Melbourne keep an eye out for her.
Wishing you years of motoring fun Dale .
