narrowed beams

i was planing to fit a 2 inch narrows beam to my 1500 to stop the tyres just catching on the guards, i run 185s and would like to keep that size.

now i have been offered a 4in narrowed beam , my question is will i get scrubbing on the inner guards with the 185's? will there be a major difference between the two apart from the 2inch's lol??

i'm not doing it for looks and i dont plan to droping it anymore than it is (2.5 droped spindles) i just dont wan
t it scrubbing ..

cheers

Replace your wheels with ones with the correct offset. i run 6" x 16" rims with 195/50/16 tyres with no rubbing issues on a 69 karmann beetle convertable.

He's right you know. Narrowing will make the wheel scrub the inner arch most likely. My lowered 59 bug with 2 inch can't full lock cos it catches the inner arches and thats with std 15 inch 165/80. Ok well a bit bigger but not much, like 7mm.
