need help putting porsche rims on 74 super bug pls
Hi all'
I need some info if I wanna put porsche 944 rims 5 stud 7" width offset 23 in my super bug, other than change stud pattern. What do I need to do?
Would the 944 rims fit in the stock guard? If not who can flare out the guard for me ? I'm in sydney. Also worried about front inner clearance
between rims edge and the spring coz using stock spring and empi adjustable strut kit. Thanks guy

No chance with a stock spring - you need a V Force, Maxx or similar style stru
You are better off with a better fitting wheel as well.
With an ET of 23 they will stick out
Try earlier 1997 16" Boxster wheels, they have a better offset
16" x 6" x ET50
and
16" x 7" x ET40
I run these on my 75L bug under stock guards

Get some fibreglass widewings. Think Day moulding in the UK, dunno on Oz.
Also, check you don't need engineer sign off on change in stud pattern as QLD trans say must use orig PCD but eng can sign it off. redrilling of
discs and drums ain't allowed either.
