Don't feel un Australian driving your VWs today

Hi

Don't feel un-Australian today as most air cooled VWs were made in Australia by a foreign owned company, just like Ford or Holden.

We now have other companies in Australia that followed VW here like Bosch, Hella, VDO etc.

So happy Australia Day

There were Aussie cars at one time, Lightburn Zeta, in the sixties and the "Aussie six" before the war

actually the vw beetle was the highest Australian content car built in Australia during the 60's. It had more Australian built parts in it than the corresponding Fords and Holdens.....

1971 karmann ghia Cabrio - Cruising
1963 beetle Sunroof - gathering dust :fakesniff:
1968 race beetle - twin turbo Subaru - stress relief
1960 beetle - old school low & slow :smirk:
