Didn't have time to find anyone up there!

Bloody worst trip home from Tamworth in 42 years. Would you believe that the bloody RTA/contractors decided to close the south bound lane of the New England in Murrurundi for re surfacing today (Sunday) which is the last day before school starts as well as the mass exit of the thousands at Tamworth for the Music festival!! I joined the queue half way down from Nowlands Gap and it took near 1 hr to get through. By the time we moved the traffic was back past the gap. No doubt Barry O'Farrell would have flown home after being at the awards last night and wouldn't have noticed the delay these clowns caused.

I can feel your pain. It pisses me off these Farken stupid pricks that would even think of doing this type of work on a main road and as pointed out by you - a Sunday and the last day of school holidays.

Where do Government, Councils find these morons that make these decisions.

i know sometimes it's the local governments that do it, but there is obviously no common sense amongst the whole lot of them.

My 2c worth and I wasn't even in this traffic jam, but I have been before and couldn't help myself now sorry.

Kev

Kev, you would have thought that some of your old mates would have put a stop to it when they were setting up. There seemed to be hundreds of cops around Tamworth but in 400km to home I saw one on a bike heading south and one car heading north near Willow Tree. Didn't notice any Hwy cars "hiding" along the road as they normaly do on the New England!

The Putty Rd slowed things a bit on Thursday as some truckie had forgotten to put a fuel cap on and spilled oil from around the old Halfway House to Milbrodale on every left hand turn. The 16km winding section was the most exciting bit on every left hander with the oil and rain. Had to call 000 to report it as the cops at Singleton must have all been out buying the days supply of doughnuts!
