Video - In car camera (on the street)

Hi Guys,

Tried my iPhone out as a in car camera today.

In a cradle that is not to sturdy(sucks to the window really well but it has adjustment point that doesn't tighten to well) , as i found out later watching it back - will need to sort that out before i do it again.

Its not to exciting - I will try to remember to do it before the corners rather than just the last couple of corners next time (now I know I can edit the video)

anyway I hope you like what it is.

Look forward to your feed back

Car looks and sounds like it has bags of grunt. Are you still running the motor in as the shift light seems to come on quite early.

Nice spot for a quick run, the old Pacific Highway!

One of these days I'll finish my car and we can go for a run up there together.

It's set at 5400 as I am conscious of over reving it.

It makes it's peak power at 6500

Engine has about 1400kms on it now.

I have MSD but have not worked out how to use the rev limiter in it. I need to talk to somebody about getting the best use out of the MSD

Great vid. engine sounds very nice. What MSD have you got? They either have an adjustable knob rev limit adjustment or more commonly a chip that you change for different rpm limit. See what you have, even Google and you'll find tips on setting them up.

Thanks Matt I will have a look.(last time I had a look I didn't see a rev limit knob, thought it was programmable or something)

cool vid. maybe you could also try seat mount. I have seen it on a few youtuve vids already and doesn't seem to vibrate like mounting the body or glass.

the car started as a standard 70 model i think with early front and rear clip with bonnet and engine lid to match the car was converted to irs and was all done at wolfsburg motors at st peters by simon bishop a local tattoo artist with an eye for detail.... i beleive the car was painted by the panel shop down the street just behind them it was re assembled not to shaw who did the interior or wether its still the same simon i beleive lives down in melbourne and still works as a tattoo artist and now owns a split rear window beetle coloured yellow and black featured i one of the club meets in vwma a couple of issues ago ....... look after the rig it was a very well built car with a proud owner the only reason he sold it at the time was to make way for his split panel

I am looking after it its my pride and joy - it gets parked in a carpeted garage with a car cover - only time it comes off is to go for a drive or my son wanting to sit in it (he loves it - only 23 months old)

I just went through some of the history paper work I have, Some of the paper work has Simon Bishop's name on it and and a guy by the name of Shane Stapleton (seems he had the car for a while - I think thats who bought it from Simon, then it had a couple of owners and now me)
