T3 Syncro Import from South Africa?

Hi Anyone tried to import one from South Aftrica??

If so any tips?

Seen a few on Gumtree with Audi 2.5
and Jetta 2 litre motors.

Wonder if it is safe/worth the $$$
to do so.

The T3's from South Africa are Great! They came from the factory with either a 2.5L or (later) 2.6L versions of the AUDI's brilliant 5 cylinder engine. So you can buy with confidence as they are not backyard engineered.

We had them when we lived over there and then brought one back with us. Will have to double check who we brought it in with.

There are SO many T3's over there and quite often there are a few Oettinger WBX engined Buses for sale - which are BRILLIANT!

My only word of caution would be to buy a Bus from the interior parts of the country, so as to avoid rust issues.
