65 Square

Hi all,
Wanted to get your thoughts on the 65 square advertised on Car Sales and whether the price asked is reasonable, I'm new to the world of VW's so any advice would be appreciated:

http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/volkswagen-1500-1965-12034943?vert... 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294962746 4294966306&distance=25&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max~1&sort=default

Cheers
Jason

Its a 69 according to the vin number, that being said the fuel filler flap should be mounted on the D/s guard..... they have used an earlier guard that doesnt have the flap.... this would make the car a bugger to fill with fuel.....

Earlier type 3s (pre 68) had the filler in the boot, there is a photo indicating that it still has the 68 on tank.

Like empi said looks like a 69 with the fuel flap welded up and mostly 72 front seats (except the drivers bottom).

Should be IRS and disc brake like a late model.

The wiring doesn't need much repair, just for my piece of mind. ISP West have complete loom for US$319 so I dunno yet.

I thought 69's had IRS? So far I believe everything is original except for the front right guard.

The "complete" loom from ISP isn't complete! Looks like I got some wiring ahead of me. The birds nest around the steering column annoys me!
