Klassic Fab (splitty repair panels) orders (March) - don't miss out
Howdy,
Sorry there is no business section to put this in (can't post in the weekly deals section) - hopefully Andrew gets our banner up soon as we are a
major sponsor of the forum since January, I know he's been busy though
We are putting in our next Klassic Fab orders very shortly:
- an air freight order that we'll submit next week (cut off date Thu 22 Mar) and
- a sea freight order the following week (cut off date Thu 29 Mar).
We have our full retail price list available in pdf document form so please email us on info@dasrestoparts.com.au for a copy. Our IT guy hasn't been
able to upload it to our website (dasrestoparts.com.au) yet for some reason. PLEASE NOTE, AIR FREIGHT COSTS WILL BE ON TOP OF THE RETAIL PRICES. If
you opt for sea freight, no extra charges will be incurred apart from domestic freight from our factory (gold coast) to you.
To give everyone an idea of how it works, Gerson's factory is based in Bogota, Columbia. You have to remember he supplies all of the world with his
products and does not stock a lot 'on the shelf' due to demand outweighing supply. When we submit an order, we go in the queue like everyone else.
Especially for RHD parts, his workers have to fabricate a lot of the parts AFTER the order is placed....so an order (depending on how big) can take
1-2 months just to complete ready for shipping. Eg. it takes two of his guys 2 full days to hand form a full bus cargo floor....these are not
stamped.
Once the order is complete, it generally takes around 2-3 weeks to get here via air freight......sea freight is a different story. Our current order
left in early January and won't arrive in Brisbane until late April (last update it just left Rotterdam!! (?)) so it goes the long way around. So
when ordering, factor in around 4-5 months for sea freight from time of order.....and around 4-10 weeks for air freight from time of order. I am
heading over to Gerson's place in June to explore some other shipping options that will hopefully speed things up without adding too much cost (eg.
we looked at shipping the last order to the US first then to Brisbane, but this would have added $3K just to get it to the US).
So anyway, please email us for a price list and if you want anything via air freight or sea freight (note the preferred method) please email us the
order (part numbers will help considerably).
For either order, we will ask for 50% deposit up front and the balance due when the parts arrive before being shipped out to you via TNT road express
(cheapest domestic freight we can find thus far). Without the deposit we cannot include your parts in the order sorry. We are trying to build our
stock levels but it sells faster than we can land it.
Cheers
Al

Sorry Yogie, he only does early oval and split beetle pans. We do the Wolfsburg West repros which are excellent quality - much thicker than the cheap
black thin versions. We have to sea freight them due to size but I can get a cost for you if you like?

G'day mate we have some early bay doglegs coming (should be here in first week of April) along with a few other bay bits (low light lower noses,
inner rockers etc)...the availability is getting better for the bay stuff, albeit the splitty stuff is obviously their priority.
