fitting sunvisor

help please, i picked up a sunvisor for my fastback at a swap meet.. im just wanting to know how they correctly mount on the vehicle? it appeares that they should be screwed straight into the car between the door and the underside of the gutter into the body. is that right? or is there some kind of other mounting system? anyone out there got any pics?
cheers mick

Hi
Sorry no pics
but they weren't screwed to the car..
they were screwed to a piece of steel with two bolts and the end of the piece of steel sat in the gutter and another piece of steel clamped around the gutter..
held on with another two bolts..
the bolts had capnuts on the end.. [similar to the ones in Your sump]

from memory...
was one on My beetle in 1967... lol

many wrong ones were fitted to the wrong car in which they turned into an air scoop and not really working as a sun visior
