steering shaft movement
i can move the steering wheel in an upward direction. Is there a bearing on the shaft or an adjustment i can make? The car is a 74 beetle(non super)

Definitly not one of VWs brighter ideas going from a metal bushing to plastic.

Hi
If the bearing is OK youj can just cut a strip of plastic sheet and feed it into the gap, Idid this with my sons bug years ago and its still
working.

It feels like alot when the steering wheel attached but it probably has bout a 2-3mm wall
