Exhausts and heaterboxes
hi all,
i want to change the exhaust on my ghia but would like to keep the heaterboxes for obvious reasons. what are my options? i have looked around and the
online shops really arent clear about the compatibility.

Those vintage speed ones are the ducks nuts but they don't run heaterboxes.
Most garden variety headers can retain the heaters.
Its just the fully merged ones, sidewinders and those vintage speed ones that don't.
Something like a quiet pack works well with a stock engine and heaters.

We stock the CSP python exhaust that is designed for heater boxes - these really are the best out there but obviously have a price tag reflective of
German engineering.

Our A1 exhaust shipment from the US (the actual A1, not the Chinese copies of A1's) has just landed in Brisbane and should be clear of customs this
week hopefully. We have at least two systems in that shipment designed for heater boxes as well.

consider a custom job
Mine cost about $1500 all up
That is a custom exhaust with fully merged header and ceramic coated heater boxes with flanged connection
I mate this with a 1916 that produces about 70hp ATW
The same exhaust does about 95Hp on a different motor with stock heater boxes
What ever you do - get flanged connections
Heater boxes with no smell is worth the extra effort
