79 Bay Window resto

hey friends,
i have a 79 bay window kombi, currently has a 2l twin carb motor in it. at the moment it is unregistered and i was hoping to either get a new motor built, or convert to fuel injected. any advice, tips, or help would be muchly appreciated.
