You'd be hard pressed to find a caddy for sale sorry, as they were never sold in OZ

They do pop up rarely, but you have to be trawling all the watercooled type forums constantly.

I have a very nice 76 3dr here, but want more than $3K for it once I've tidied it up sorry

Check out vwwatercooled.org.au forum. If they are going to pop up then they will pop up there.

No Mk1 Jettas were sold in Australia.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Did you check out VW Watercooled?

Search for a guy called Lawny, he is in Torquay and has a nice green mk 1. It is a very well looked after car and in your price range. It has been for sale for a while so you will need to look a few pages in.

Let me know if you can't find it, I can try to PM the link for you.

OK I'll ask the dumbo question, I thought a vw caddy is a small van reasonably late addition to the stable. Pics please.

There's a few for sale down here... If you have some plates, bring em over, attach and drive them back... one unreg, but ready for rego in good shape, coilovers, etc $2100 on tas.gumtree.com.au and I could fix you up with one partially assembled for less, with a bit of motivation I could assemble... I have a 2-door also which I am prepping for sale which does run, but it's auto... happy to sell with a manual box as a spare though..... Plenty to choose from under your budget....
