Time to drag this thread out of the woods. Recently purchased a 1.5 inch CSP Python system from CIP1. Landed at my door 4 days from order date for a total price of $1120, including matching J pipes. Outstanding price and delivery, mind you this was on sale due to their current Christmas special.

The primary reason for choosing the python was based on performance, sound and the ability to achieve a nice snug fit with the muffler mounted at an angle. Love the tuckaway look as well.

It is currently wrapped and under the Christmas tree! It never ceases to amaze me how my wife can find exactly what I wished for! :spin: Will let you know how it fits up once done. Give me a week, need time to fit up the 1904 and Rancho as well. Got heaps of wiring, plumbing and plenty of cursing to come.

Found this old post...

I have the CSP exhaust system and the heater boxes - 42 mm.

Delivered way back in February 2010, and still in the box.

Hopefully, on the car, soon.

Cost:
- Python exhaust: $1228.00
- heater boxes: $740.62
- paid NO duty
- phew!
- still, too f#@!ing expensive!

Will have pictures by Spring, this year.

Does anyone have pictures of their bug with a CSP?

Do the CSP heater boxes work with heads like, DRD L5s (40x35.5)? aircooled.net reads, no heater boxes.

Hi Zayus,

In the VW tech/FAQ section there is this thread, with a dropbox full of images of VW's with common/popular exhausts

http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=106458

With reference to the DRD heads and ACN saying not to use heater boxes, that is if using stock heater boxes with the heavy internal fins etc... if the heater boxes you've bought from CSP are their ones with the LARGER internal tubes you'll be fine. That is why CSP made them, so ze germans don't need to freeze their pretzels in winter whilst running a hopped engine.

Hey Sander,

Thanks for the info.

RE: the CSP heater boxes, I think, that's why I bought them.

I really need to get the car on the road!
